IoT: Auto industry needs to learn from Tesla

In the discussion about how car companies need to think like software companies, another great example comes from Tesla. It is interesting to note that any argument about why conventional car companies cannot be flexible and agile like a software company is easily refuted by Tesla. Their ability to do over-the-air updates to push new features, such as addressing range anxiety, updating suspension settings for high-speed driving and making Teslas self-driving are some of the examples of how being agile can help not just wth recall costs but also enhance the features on in-market cars.

While conventional car companies still operating in the waterfall methodology of production and design, Tesla is setting perfect examples of how IoT can change the auto industry.
